What's your personal opinion of the Mazda RX-8?

I'm thinking of buying a used 03-05 Mazda RX-8 (GT) with a 6 speed manual transmission. Any thoughts? Pros/Cons from other RX owners?

I hate the looks of it. I wish they would have kept making the FD RX7, those machines are beautiful. I like the engine now that it's pushing out decent power, but you need to drive that correctly otherwise you'll trash the engine.

I don't know much about the RX-8, but I do know that the RX-7 was a good car. Their not very good on gas though. The Wankle rotory engine produces plenty of power, but likes gas.

Great car in every way IF you know about rotary engines and how to maintain them and the driving habits you need.
Comfortable, 9000rpm redline, smooth engine, handles very well, quick.

It is RWD so it is slippery in rain and almost impossible to drive in snow.
