I got my hammy a few days ago from my teacher who was giving a bunch away because his had babies. I'm pretty sure it a teddy bear hamster. It bit me once when I was handling it and I got scared. But it ALWAYS tries to run away. It bites the bars on its cage trying to get out and I've tried to handle it a few times but it just runs away. I put it on a bed with a towell in my lap and it jumped off and ran under the bed. Luckily I got it back. Because of its hyperness, I haven't been able too tell whether its a girl or a boy. I know it not more than 2 months old but still. I am hesitant to hold it because I'm afraid it'll run away and I'll lose it. I really just want to know if and how it would become less jump and always trying to get out. :/ Please help.
