When I click on Trend Micro it won't open?

I installed Trend Micro on my computer, yes I uninstalled the previous security system thing. And out of no where is was saying my trial was up? But we had bought the whole thing... not the trial version. So I uninstalled that and reinstalled the new one and now it opens, but nothing happens. So I click the shortcut, it says Hey this is Trend Micro and then goes away, and that is that. Nothing happens. I have tried going into the process section and find it, but nothing is opening it except me.
