When I double click any item , it automatically gets deleted or the dialogue box

pops up, do u surely want to? I am using compaq c754tu laptop, xp , whenever I double click any icon , dialogue box pops up, do you want to send the item to the recycle bin.

I tried a lot , but hopeless , pls. help.

i have synaptics installed
 
Your delete button might be stuck. Try tapping it a couple of times and see if this helps solve the problem.
