car? whats going on? i have a 99 izuzu rodeo, when i fill my suv sometimes it does not click off and leaks gas underneath my car? whats going on?

It sounds like your saying the pump handle does not shut off when the fuel level gets to the full point.

This is an issue with the pump nozzle, not your vehicle.

If they are reported for having pump failures that continue to occur, they can get some major fines.

It is the responsibility of the station owner to get the pump cut off fixed. This can become a serious
safety issue.

Try another gas station, and make sure you squeeze the filler lever all the way down.
 
Yep! It's the handle not your car. Some places, when this happens they take the clip of the hold-down off the pump handle so you have to hold open all the time.
 
If your car is leaking gas you need to get it checked ASAP. I don't know what the problem is, but having gas flowing out of your car presents a fire danger, as well as a danger to anybody potentially breathing in the fumes. Not to mention wasted gas, which is wasted money
