When I me and my boyfriend have sex I bleed? Why?

Ok so my boyfriend took my virginity and I took his. When we have sex I still bleed could there be something wrong with me. I've already been checked by my dr she said there is nothing wrong. But my boyfriend is worried that maybe he's too rough but he's not rough at all. HELP!!!!
