when i put in a ds game in it says nothing is inserted?

i have tried about 3 or 4 games and i bought a new one but when i put the game in the game slot it says there is nothing inserted but if i hold the card down it reads it. i did this and the games work but if i let go of it it says there is nothing inserted
PLZZ CAN U HELP ME HAS THIS HAPPEND TO U ????
TRIED THE FIRST 2 ANSWERS BUT IT DOESNT WORK STILL
