When I used my key for my Mercedes, it only opened the driver's door, not the

others and the car won't start I'm sure it's tied in together - normally all the doors open simultaneously - the other 3 doors stay closed - is this serious? expensive? I've been using just the key in the key lock as the remote broke a while ago. If I purchase a new remote would that make a difference? the car was fine yesterday

Get a new remote.

sounds like you have a problem with the security system. sometimes they can be reset but not sure how on a mercedes.
