grandparent typically allowed? I work for a small business so I know that rules are easily changed. Although a year ago when my grandfather died (who was like a father to me) I received quite a few days off. A year later he brought it up as some kind of 'favor' that he allowed me to take time off and claimed that most other companies (especially corporate) would have denied me any time off. Is this true?

Some feedback would be appreciated.
