Nahh you dont have to get internet. But then why would get a sidekick, unless your using it for texting. BUt no, the guy is lying. I can get sidekick with unlimited texting only and itll be fine. But i recommend Blackberry Pearl, i can text with that thing behind my back with my eyes closed. Brilliant phone!! I own one.
