When will Christians stop pretending to follow Christ? Should they be Paulitians?

It's pretty obvious that the majority of Christians (at least, the outspoken ones) do not follow anything Jesus said. They're more likely to follow people like Paul, so shouldn't they simply be Paulitians?

For example, Christians who condemn and hate on gays. Jesus said “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone.” (John 8:7) OR "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" (Matthew 7:3) Which means he would be completely against any bigotry or oppression against homosexuals.
Whereas Paul supported the prosecution and oppression of homosexuals because it is a "sin" - or at least, that's what Christians would have us believe.

Another example, the harsh and hateful tone towards people who disagree with them. Jesus said to love your enemies, turn the other cheek, etc. This is clearly defying the man you supposedly follow's teachings.

So when will Christians admit that they never followed a word of Christ?

It is true that many Christians lack the love and forgiveness that Jesus taught us to have which explains why so many of them support war and government violence.However it is also true that Jesus commanded the woman who committed adultery to "Go and sin no more" thus showing His rejection of sexual sins.
