Where do you get the best rates from?

I’m look for Turkish Lira as I go on holiday next week.
 
Wait until you get there and draw your Turkish Lire out of an ATM using your debit card. Most UK banks shove on a surcharge of between 2% and 5% but that's still cheap compared to the mark-up included in "tourist rates" even when they are "commission free". If you bank with Nationwide, there's no fee (in Turkey & EU states) just a commercial exchange rate.
 
Airports often have currency exchanges for modest fees.
