i just bought a 2000 volkswagen golf and the radio does not work at all, every light turns on exept the radio, no sound, nothing. i dint know if its the fuse in the fusebox. or maybe there is one behind the radio itself?

Driver side dash opening.

Remove fuse #42, leave it out for a few minutes, then plug back in. Then the radio should work

It is a common issue with the radio.

Yes, there is a fuse behind the radio, you'll need to buy keys to remove it.
