where should i get regestry mechanic software?

i want to clean my registry on windows XP based PC as it runs slow, please any body advise me which software i can use. i am having hiren boot cd is it help me any way? if yews Please guide me how to do this.if any other software, which and where should i get it.Please guide me in detail.
