I usually do a special trip for each of my kids when they graduate from high school and I'm trying to figure out where to take my daughter. She's 18 and would love something different. My problem is I'm trying to stay on a budget and I want to take her during her fall break. She would probably like somewhere warm and beachy, but would also like sights to see like London, etc. We've been to New York and Florida so hopefully you don't say there. Thanks!

Costa Rica is a great option... warm beaches, lots of shopping and excellent outdoor activities... like zip lines, butterfly farm, amazing beaches. A lot of bang for the buck. I book my tickets through Cheaptickets.com every time I travel there. Our money goes a long, long, way there.
A great big plus is most all businesses there take our US dollars, so no need to convert. Also, the majority of the population has taught themselves English, so conversations are a breeze.
It will be different and the two of you will be so relaxed.
From Charlotte, NC less than a four hour flight... non stop.

How about flying to the u.k for a bit off sightseeeing then catch a 2 hour flight to southern spain...? It
always stays warm & sunny during the day just a bit chilly at night. You can get a cheap flight from the u.k for around £50.00 each one-way, maybe both ways if your lucky & there are so many hotels, beaches to choose from at great prices. Check out tripadvisor for hotels & ryan air, easy jet , bmi to fly from u.k then i guess you could catch a connecting flight back to u.s.a. from U.K Trust me... you don`t come to the u.k for heat in october even though we have some great beaches. Trust me its getting cold already...........!
