I need to write a 6-7 analytical paper on ONE of Bob Dylan's songs, and I'm having a really hard time choosing one! I have to be able to come up with an arguable topic sentence, and back up that thesis with solid evidence as to why I believe that. (Basically convince the reader that my thesis is an accurate reading of the song.) I also need to talk about what possibly inspired Dylan to write that song, as well as the general public's reception of the song and critics' reception of the song. And obviously, I need to be able to find enough information on the song to write 6-7 pages!
I want to stay away from his most popular songs though, simply because we went over his biggest hit songs in class and my professor doesn't want me to repeat anything from lecture in my paper. So none of these:
Hard Rain a-Gonna Fall
Blowin in the Wind
Times They Are A-Changin
All Along the Watchtower
Like a Rolling Stone
Tambourine Man
Any help would really be appreciated!
