Just kidding! Light is definatly has too much pride, I believe he even says so himself. I don't think Light is greedy for he says that if he was, he would use the Death Note for his own personal gain (like for money, popularity (which I guess he does somewhat use it for) etc..). You have to remember, Light didn't start off with the idea of becoming popular when he first found the Death Note, he had a vision to change the world. He thought what he was doing was right so I truely think Light is not greedy. He just had way too much pride. He needed to win, there was no alternative.
