Christianity is a Jewish sect because it is based on the teachings of the Jewish Messiah. This is best represented in a branch of Judaism called Messianic Judaism which has synagogues in quite a few cities.
Both. Rabbi Jesus states in Matthew 5:17-20 that he was Not here to start a new religion; but to fix the Jewish one. Plus we are to obey ALL of God's Commandments. God did give Moses 613 Commandments! Plus more.
In Acts the Christians "met in the Synagogues in the evening"!
It was not until about 305/6 A.D. that 29 lazy men decided to stop doing ALL that is required of us and make their lazier, more disobedient, church. Then named it Catholic! It is 300 year younger than it even admits to~
With the invention of the printing Press, people found out that the Catholic church was far from honest or what God tells us to be; so new religions have come to be. The first ones wanting to obey the Bible better. One later ones to put what ever changes/laziness in.
Not a single Christian religion is obeying ALL that is required of us! The religion that is obeying the closest is "Messianic Judaism"! And many religions have broke off of it to make lazier religions. So if you want to find it, make sure the name is correct!
