Which is the fastest USB port?

My intention is adding a 3rd monitor to my computer, through a USB port. I just bought the EVGA 100-U2-UV16-A1 which allows you to connect a display via a USB port.

Does it really make a difference which USB port I connect it to. Either the flat screen monitor from dell, or the front or back of the desktop tower?

Edit: My Bad! Didn't read your question fully. It's better to connect it to the computer. Less line loss that way.

I don't think it really matters, but the back one would be the fastest because it's right on the motherboard.
