Which Jeep Liberty is the best?

I am trying to decided between two used 2008 Jeep Libertys. I have two offers on them, both about the same price. The first one is silver, 2WD sport, just the standard model. It has 37,000 miles. It is like new. The second one is jeep green metallic, 4WD sport, it has the towing package as well. I like some of the features of this one, power seats, compass and themo, tinted windows, but here is the catch, it has 56,000 miles. It doesn't look brand new but still looks very nice. I was just wondering if I could get some info on both the 4WD and 2WD sports, pros and cons, and if those extra 20,000 miles will come back to hurt me. I plan on having the car for at least 8-10 years. So I would appreciate some pros and cons and some advice on my decision. Thanks.
I hear that 4x4 Jeeps have better resale. I live where 4x4 wouldn't be needed but is there any truth to the resale?
 
1. Jeeps are expected to be 4x4 by virtually every buyer. I've personally never seen a 4x2 Jeep product.

2. Libertys are not all that well screwed together and have a pretty abysmal reliability record according to Consumer Reports. I would not be buying either.
