Been an active prepaid t-Mobile customer for over 2 years; with a Nokia 6010 unlocked for as long due to extensive travel. Just lost the phone on vacation with a different GSM in it. Need another Nokia phone from t-Mobile that is unlockable for my travel. If my account (i.e., my phone number and info on the GSM chip) is over 90 days old (it IS), and has always been active, and for good measure I recharge some airtime with the last 30 days, if I order the Pay as You Go (prepaid) refill kit for one of the Nokia models 1208, 2610, or 2760 (only these are currently offered to prepaid customers subsidized), will t-Mobile USA email me free the unlocking code(s) necessary to unlock the new phone and slip my old t-mobile/international traveling GSM chips in so I can use the phone again in an unlocked state for my convenience - all the time remaining a t-Mobile active customer? Or what is the best I can do w/tmobile to get my old Nokia unlocked functionality back?
the code calculators do not cover these particular phones, they are prepaid phones and as they are subsidized, only the provider can provide the unlock codes at this time and to my knowledge. The code calculating softwares are useless and unlocking third party services net cost are more expensive than the phone kit itself. This question deals with what free unlocking codes T-Mobile will or won't provide, the software is USELESS.
