Which one to buy nvidia shield or ipad 4 for gaming ?

I want a portable gaming console or pad ....
I Don't care about steaming games from the pc to the shield cz i don't play very much pc ...I play games on the playstation 3...
Ps vita is a failed console cz it don't have many games :S
So Which one to choose plz help ?
