It really depends on your needs and wants. Each has it's strengths and each is better in it's own way. So, in my opinion:Mac OS X Pros: The best interface, design, and integration between programs. Fun to use. Secure. Best looking computers. Best rated customer satisfaction. Regular OS overhauls and updates. A very bright future. Cons: More expensive, some niche programs not compatible. Windows XPPros: The most common OS and therefore the self-proclaimed industry "standard", meaning a lot of niche programs and support. It is what most businesses use, so it might be what you're used to at work. The most programs--though not necessarily the best programs.Cons: Security constantly compromised. Getting old. Boring. LinuxPros: Many versions for your needs. It's free. It's open source. Gaining momentum--so more and more programs are available. Cons: Generally more complicated to use and maintain. Many programs not available. So there is my biased opinion. I admit, I've only had limited use of Linux, but I am a long time Windows user and more recently I switched to Mac OS which is my favorite of the three.P.S. bzellinger, have you ever really had a chance to use Mac OS X? I give credit to Windows for what it is. But if this is really a comparison then you have to have used them and at least give some reasons. Dang...this is turning into a forum!
