Which SUV gets better traction on slippery or snow covered roads?

Between these two Kia Sportages, 4 Cylinder LX FWD, 2WD, or a LX 4 Wheel front drive 6 cylinders? I need answers as soon as possible as I am going to have to choose between them by this weekend. Thank You so much.
I live in the Northeast, so you know what kind of winters I'm facing, thanks again.
Is there much of a difference in fuel economy?
 
yhey are going to be about the same, the WEIGHT IS THE KEY IN SNOW if you have a light vehicle, like a kia then getting the right tires is the key, they have great traction tires for snow and ice, but they will melt off in hotter weather, so you need to have four extra rims with mounted snow tires, this is the best way to take advantage of 4x4 also the six will have better power in the snow. in the end its up to you
 
honestly, skill and a set of good tires is all you need. know the different types of 4x4. theres true 4x4 where you cant go over 15 mph. theres part time 4x4 where your car senses wheel slip and looks for grip with the other wheels, then theres the 4x4 thats on all the time, just like awd. you could have just gotten a subaru for half the price and more fuel efficency, or an audi quattro, or a volvo... or any other awd car...
 
tbh i cant understand why anyone would buy a 2wd suv. thankfully there is no such thing as a 2wd suv in the uk :) so im going to reccomend you the lx 4x4 6 cylinder (you might also need extra power to get outta sticky situations)
however i think a v8 diesel land rover discovery (if you can get them) because they have diesel economy with v8 power and are AWESOME offroad trust me
if you cant just get a petrol disco or something renown for offroad ability, not a kia sportage, note the name 'sportage' emphasising on-road capability. its a family suv, not an offroad suv, it has bad ground clearance, bad tyres, bad engines, bad gearbox and none of the things where you can adjust things electronically depending on the type of surface your on
trust me kia sportage fails at offroading
 
all-season tires and 4wd and you'll be just fine.
