...seats and start getting something done? It is amazing how out of touch the government actually is to the people. They should be getting paid by the hour, and all of their "fundraiser" trips should be paid for out of their own pockets.

Notice how I never said that I was either a Democrat or a Republican, a Liberal or a Conservative as that creates nothing but polarization...

You are asking here. We would end up killing each other. Several of us would make mulitple accounts so we would vote multiple times. other sould violate them and kicked them out so they won't vote. I would scream jokes that no one would find it funny.

you have a point. We should have a lottery where citizens are selected from random to fill all positions for one year and then your name is removed from consideration and things would work again.

Thanks for not being partisan, first of all.

Second of all, it is interesting to note that Congress sits less days than schoolchildren: While children in school usually go for 175-190 days, Congress(wo)men usually only sit for 120 days, which is one third of the year. That means that two-thirds of the time, they are on vacation, or they have "constituent days," where they are supposed to be visiting the people who voted for them in their home state, but they usually just chillax. Pretty unfair when you compare it to most other workers in this country who make way less money and work way harder.

I mean, I am all for Congressmen and Senators making good money, as to attract talent to the positions, but I think that if they are going to make almost 200 grand a year, they should work more for it.
