Who agrees SCI FI Movies don't ever win BEST PICTURE at the Oscars?

Star Warslost to Annie Hall, Avatar lost to The Hurt Locker, and even E.T. lost to Gandhi for god sakes, who agrees the Academy is against sci fi movies.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. But I agree, Sci-Fi films, along with a few other genres, do not get the respect they deserve.

Even though you try to hide it by trying to convince us that your question is about SF movies, in general, we all know you're still whining about "Avatar". "Avatar" didn't even deserve to be nominated. The plot was just a combination of cliche and other movies done over the years. And, be honest, was ANY of the buzz about the movie about anything other than the 3D?
