who came up with the theory of the four humours?

My revision guide keeps contradicting itself. So, did Aristotle come up with the theory of there being four humours; yellow bile, black bile, phlegm and blood? and did hipocrates further Aristotle's work by saying the humours should be balanced and using treatments such as bleeding?
Or is hippocrates come up with the whole idea of humours?
i'm really confused, got an exam in two days. Links would help :)
