We hear about comebacks in many sports (one extreme example being George Foreman in boxing), but I was curious to hear about comebacks in the sport of baseball. What individual players started off decent, faded away or left the game, and then had great careers later on?
And, no, I do not think that Ted Williams is a valid answer, since he had to go fight in World War II and Korea and didn't fall into any kind of slump.
