CERTAINLY BRUCE FEIN IS AWARE THAT GOTABAYA RAJAPAKSA IS NOT PRESIDENT OF SRI LANKA. THIS IS BUT THE FIRST OF MANY ERRORS IN HIS STATEMENT.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A 12-count indictment on charges for genocide was filed with Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice yesterday, against Sri Lanka's president Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Defense Secretary Sarath Fonseka. Bruce Fein, former deputy asst. attorney general during the Reagan Administration, filed the indictment yesterday under the U.S. Genocide Accountability Act of 2007 (GAA). Both are charged with command responsibility for genocidal deaths perpetrated by their subordinates in the Sri Lankan security forces.

"We don't have any more stocks to be distributed, and our staff are essentially hiding at the moment," Casella said. WFP has 16 staff members and 81 dependents in the Vanni area.”
Where are the 300+ sick/injured civilians that were taken further into terrorist held territory? Has the WFP/ICRC moved civilians from a disclosed location to an undisclosed location?
“Emilia Casella, a spokeswoman for the World Food Program, told reporters in Geneva that the entire population of Vanni is facing a food crisis”.
Wasn’t there a shipment of 280MT of food 2 weeks ago?
“Meanwhile, nearly 8000mts of food have been stored in Vavuniya while the Government has sent 270 mts of additional foods there.
He said 240 IDPs arrived in Vavuniya from Vanni. These IDPS who have been forcibly detained by the LTTE were very keen on arriving in Vavuniya as they have spent miserable lives in Vanni.”

Reports from the sealed war zone, known as Vanni, are spotty. But the top health official there said last week that 300 civilians had been killed, and the U.N. said at least 52 civilians were killed Tuesday.
Hasn’t the top health official denied ever making such a comment?

COLOMBO (AFP) – A stone-throwing mob attacked the office of the International Red Cross in Sri Lanka's capital Friday as Colombo accused the agency of inciting panic over civilian deaths from fighting with Tiger rebels.
Government spokesman Keheliya Rambukwella said the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) had placed an order for 35,000 body bags to be used in the northeast where Tamil Tiger guerrillas have been cornered by the military.
"There is no need for 35,000 body bags or for that matter 3,500," Rambukwella told reporters shortly after the attack on the ICRC main office in a high security area of Colombo.
"They may cancel the order tomorrow. But first they want to create a fear psychosis in the eyes of the international community," he said.

Look at the video footage of the Puthukkudyiruppu hospital that the UCRC and Red Cross were claiming to have been aerially bombarded.

Sri Lanka has categorically denied that it had neither fired cluster munitions nor it had any ever bought cluster bombs into the country.
Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said, "We don't have the facility to fire cluster munitions. We don't have these weapons." After Sri Lankan denial the United Nations spokesman Gordon Weiss said that they accepted the Sri Lankan statement that it did not have any facility to fire cluster munitions.
The accusation was raised against Sri Lanka after the United Nations charged that Puthukkudiyiruppu Hospital was hit by cluster munitions. Cluster bombs could cover large areas of land and some of the bomblets could remain unexploded for a long time and later harm civilians.
There has been no need to purchase such weapons in the case of Sri Lanka. The last remaining hospital, in Mullaittivu was evacuated on February 4 , out of the area under the control of the Tamil Tigers by the International Red Cross.

“LTTE is no longer the liberators; they are the true cause for the unprecedented suffering of our brethren.

“There is a well orchestrated campaign to discredit the Government and the Security Forces and bring pressure on it to declare a ceasefire by LTTE agents who have infiltrated international organizations and media institutions over a period of time.”

Is the Nuncio aware that it was the Catholic Archdiocese at Jaffna that originally asked for its priests and nuns to be evacuated from the Vanni?
