You need more friends, Dave me boy.

And why do Cons claim to be so rational when they hate facts and figures and make all decisions based on how they "feel"?

"I don't care what the research says, I don't think it's right!"

Capitalism does not allow you to be self sufficient. It in-debts you to an owner of capital, like an indentured servant. At birth, I cannot, by my own hands, build my life. I have to "buy" or "rent" everything.

... Once again you show you know nothing about liberals. I've always lived in a house or apartment, or the dorm at college. Same with my wife. Same with all my extended family.

Only socialist who mostly do not pay taxes would want to do so, the hippies tired those things in the 60s but soon left and entered the main stream of society working for a living and eventually became conservatives

As many of the lovely people before me have said, I am not a socialist, Marxist, communist, or any of the other idiotic names the right calls us. I don't want to live in a collective, although there are people who choose to live with extended families. I am the first in my family to go to college thanks to school loans (although thanks to the Re pubs, I have a lot to pay back). I have lived independently, until I developed a health problem that prevents me from working. Thank God and the Dems that I can receive social security disability, food stamps, and Medicaid. Otherwise, I would be dead. I don't think my family and friends would like that. After years of working at a rather upper poverty level, my SSI isn't that much. Why are the poor, sick, disabled, children, and Vets always the ones they look to first when cuts need to be made? Also maybe you could have made your question jmore coherant. And I am curious about the answer that you "know." It might be kind of interesting.

I certainly don't want to live in a Marxist, Socialist, Communist society either. Yet I do want a choice of where I do my business and not be limited to some global corporation that limits the competition and slave you to their terms; that most conservative overlook.

I'd say someone who has been poor, been forced to seek that government assistance, and then used it to survive long enough to work their way out of poverty.

I vote for helping others and GLADLY pay my taxes in the hopes that it can go to help someone else recevie the same opportunities that I had. Without government assistance I would not be the productive tax-paying citizen I am today.

Liberals are far more self-sufficient given that they, on average, have higher incomes and don't rely on propaganda machines like Fox for their information. We're not sheep herded by the corporate media and religious institutions.
