Why am I no longer able to change my display pic on Yahoo Messenger on my Blackberry?

It worked fine for a year and a half. It stopped working in June. I have tried downloading a newer version with no luck. I'm still able to change my profile pic on Blackberry Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. I was sent an email response back from Yahoo that this feature in no longer available?
