Why are Americans creating the same problems they later complain about?

I don't get it. We overpopulate our country, and everyone and their cousin needs a car, many people choose the lovely gas guzzling SUV's, and then drive like maniacs, later complain about higher demand and gas prices, pollute everything and then complain about pollution, pull God out of everything, discredit religion, rely ONLY on science and logic and to hell with morality or doing the right thing, and then complain about decreased spirituality and morality, :eye roll:, say it's okay to do drugs/drink/smoke, encourage Media-related things, music, movies, etc, then complain about fakeness, shallowness, and meaninglessness about society,

value $$$$ and business and clients first over EVERYTING ELSE, yet later complain that life is all about money and once the economy goes down, everything does, since everythiing IS SO HEAVILY tied in to money, in complex ways.

They also complain about pace of life.

We created this, so why don't we realize it and stop adding fuel to the fire?
It's utterly ridiculous. People complain that they have no money that times are hard, yet they're living in huge houses and driving name brand cars, lexuses, mercedes, etc, and they care about image, and working out, tanning, shopping.

Yet they complain about the rising gas prices, and foreclosures and credit card bills, when they themselves caused these problems to begin with, and buy more than they can afford,

just for ego sakes and to look good to other people.

WHY are we so stupid?
It's LITERALLY like saying, I"m gonna do what I want when I want, and whever, F u, but when I'm down,..please please help me!!

LOL> do people REALLY expect this society to get better with an attitude like that?

We're driving ourselves into HELL, and no one sees it.
I'm American. I just think we're all stupid and driving ourselves to hell.

Wake up you moron.(s)
Oh I'm sorry, am I taking your precious time from watching "dancing with the stars"? Or Idol?

Sorry! My bad.

Well, America is a country that values individuality. At first, it was simply a matter of valuing another human life and respecting others' freedom of beliefs. Now it's evolved to extreme selfishness, self-reliance and self-gratification. So many people are thinking "how do I please myself?", "how do I get what I want right now?". With extreme self-focus comes extreme irresponsibility (who cares how this affects others if it's the "right" thing for me right now?). So yes, we focus on ourselves and on now and then complain about our problems. I've lived this life myself, and am just now starting to grow up a little bit. This is a very strong cycle, that like you said, without the spiritual health aspect to it, is only getting worse and worse.

I am an adult and i must confess i do not know how old you are but i would be proud to be yourparent. sounds like you really have your head screwed on right; many more like you {hopefully] and our future generations actually stand a chance of a normal, safe, God blieving life.

" Why are Americans creating the same problems they later complain about? "

Entittlement create's dependency, it's the proverbial free

lunch with out having to explain why one is going hungry

in the first place, and of course we all believe as americans

we're entittle not only to the best of everything, but everything

under the sun, including the universe itself . . .

The america philosophy liggetimizes greed as long as it's

wearing the mask of profit, and nothing revere's profiit like

veracious overspending . . .

Add to that, the holy grail of moronic philosophies, the ever

classic, " spend like there's no tomorrow cause tomorrow

may never come " oops! guess what? 2 morrow has come

and guess who's still around, now what do you do? . . .

So, whats's in your wallet?

The world is superficial, and they don't realize they are adding to the problem. They are idiots and think that its someone else's burden to bear. The worst part of it all, is those of us who do have our eyes open to these problems have a very hard time convincing others to see it. The problem is right in front of our very eyes, but still we do not see it.
