why are college boys like this? they're interested.. then they're not..?

i met a guy at a party a couple weeks ago. i always thought he was super cute.. we talked and danced the entire time and we kissed and he got my number.. i was barely intoxicated but he was pretty drunk. afterward, he texted me a little and i was super happy (haha) he kinda boasted to his soccer friends that he was texting me (because i'm on the college dance team and he's on soccer) but then he stopped texting me after a while.. and i tried texting him but his responses were always so vague and bored like he wasn't interested in keeping a conversation. i really wanted to get to know him at least as a friend but i guess that isn't happening here. recently, i tried texting him but he didn't respond. everytime he sees me though in real life, he always says hi then he looks like he's too nervous or occupied to say anything else. what should i do about him? should i just forget him?
