What I want to know is, what were the Greek gods to Dante, if he as a Christian believed in one true God? He clearly described Jesus as the Christ leading him from Purgatory, so indeed Christianity is his religion. I know he was influenced by Virgil's Aenied, Homer's Odyssey and other classic Latinized religious myths." So repeating that would be of little help. Also, I'm not looking to start a fight where "my religion or lack of religion is greater than yours". Do that elsewhere.
