Why are individuals in a relationship interested in what their partner can do

for them than vice versa ? Why are individuals so self centered in a relationship. Why is there very little common ground on what one wants from the other. If a guy only wants sex from a girl he would be fed up with her in a month or even a week the way some relationships end. A woman who wants someone who is loaded would be tired of that guy if he goes broke or loses his job, so is there something called an understanding when it comes to relationships these days ?

Only some are like that you know. So you're question doesn't really have much to it since not all people of both sexes do that. And the people who do those things, shouldn't be in a relationship to begin with.
