Why are night light pictures upside down?

I bought my niece a night light today and when i got home and plugged it in the only way it fit was with the picture upside down, ok is this abnormal or do we just have weird outlets? I know its not extremely important but i'm curious. Its not just this one particular night light its all the ones we have ever bought for her.
 
Well, if it has polarized plugs (one larger than the other), then that would explain things. You can always turn off the power to the outlet, take off the cover, remove the retaining screws, and flip the outlet (make sure you dont cross or exert force on the wires when doing this). Might have to undo the wires and reconnect them once you flip the receptacle in the wall.
