Why are spiders so fascinated with my car? Every day my car is covered in spider webs inside and out. It has become a daily routine for me to wake up and brush webs off the side of my car and the inside around the windows before i go to work. Then again after I leave work. These spiders seem to be everywhere and I can't get rid of them. They come out mostly at night and sometimes during the day, but I know they are there because of the ridiculous amounts of webs they leave. from the front seat if you reach forward to touch the front windshield your hand will run into spider webs before you hit the glass. When the sun glares in the back window you can see the light hit all the webs sitting in the back behind the passengers head where the window slants down. They are everywhere. They seem to like the front vents at the bottom of my windshield wipers and my wing mirrors the most. I drive a 2000 Saturn, not the greatest car in the world, and they don't seem to have any problems crawling in from the outside. Every now and then I will find a nest in plain site and destroy it. I can't stop them from coming back, they just keep coming. If i go outside right now and sit in my car I will most likely be able to see 3 or 4 in plain site crawling around. I live just outside Boston. I park off street at work always on pavement. At my apartment I have to park on more of a dirt driveway. I have tried parking off street near my apartment but that didn't help. I asked around and no one else who has parked at my apartment has ever experienced anything like this. Why would they crawl over my car and no one else? Does the color matter? My car is beige. I keep it clean and have tried spraying poison everywhere. It does nothing. If anyone knows why this is happening and what I can do to stop this it would be much appreciated. Please don't tell me to just leave them alone and they are harmless. It's not a matter of being afraid of spiders or anything, Even if I liked spiders a lot I still can't have them crawling everywhere and making so much webs all over my car. Not only do I hate it, but It makes having passengers impossible. Imagine listening to a girl scream when she realizes her hair is covered in spider webs after she sits down in my car. It's not a pleasant sound. Lately the spiders have been white but I have also seen darker colored ones. sorry, I park on street at work, not off street.
