Why are vegetarians brainwashed into thinking they are eating healthy ?

Lean meats such as turkey and chicken are essential in our diet. They have protein that we need to help our metabolism and muscle. Even red meat (although only a few times per week) is healthy because it is a great source of Iron and Vitamin B12, which help in strength, energy, and O2 transportation throughout the blood.
 
protein is easily obtainable with tofu (in higher amounts even) iron and B12 is supplemented. oatmeal and soy can provide Iron. vegetarians can supplement most things easily.
 
They aren't brainwashed as such. It's more of a lifestyle change and a real belief that animals shouldn't be killed. I know eating meat is healthy and there's been hundreds of veg head questions today. It's the Vegans that really IRK me. No jello, marshmallows and crap like that. That's extreme.

Let them eat hummus. I like my dead animals baked, roasted, fried or stewed. I also WEAR them, thank you.
