The pentagram, in and of itself, is a holy symbol, at the top the divine, and at the bottom common things. To invert a pentagram is to put common things above the divine, which is perverted and wrong by the very nature of the world.

I would assume it is just someone misunderstanding of symbolism.

But an interesting note. Maybe they are embracing the fact that they are backwards and upside-down.
 
Most republican lack the intelligence to distinguish between different symbols, let alone what they mean. The upside down star is a symbol for the pentacle which is an ancient symbol for fertility and life. Being that it is also a common image for the free masons -- who created our country -- it makes perfect sense to me, being that the republican party is the oldest registered party.
 
Perhaps they are dimwitted and slow like myself and never noticed? I only vote republican for the elephant. You know elephants never...er...hmm... now what was that again?

they aren't upside down its just the way you look at it. and why that upset people. nobody probably notices it. its the last thing on there minds to fight for their symbol
 
Because a star cant go upside down, your prob some guy who thinks hes funny and thinks republicans are dumb, i grantee you are a Democrat, who probably hates bush, and you are in favor of gay Mirage.
 
Lack of education of symbolism.
It's a 5 pointed star it's not upside down but it's in the satanic position. haha I've always noticed that.


By that same token, why aren't democrats complaining about being jackasses?
