Why can't i have any nice dreams?

Nearly every time i dream i mostly have bad dreams.I mean i dream either of deaths of old people,post-apocalyptic scenes,end of the world,dark grey placed etc.Heck if the dream 'seems' nice its ending is still bad!
Now before i go to bed i think of only nice stuff!Really i try!But dreams if present turn out badly.
Any explications?
