b/c avi are linked a certain way and also u only download "parts" of the file and so it won't play until it is complete......video are made up of images and they are all needed
Same here with me.I presume you're downloading TV shows/films from Limewire/Frostwire.No idea why, maybe due to the large size of the file.As far as I know there is no way to preview them which of course is bad if you're taking the time to download the wrong thing.I don't think there is any solution but I hope I have been of use.Sorry if this doesn't help but hey.Hope everything works out ok for you Chris
its not the limewire or frostwire its your defolt video viewer. you can change the .avi to .mpeg. Or you can download an Avi pulgin.http://www.softslist.com/download-1-12-23341.html
You can't play 20% or 67% of an AVI because simply put, it's not complete and in sequence.Video files unlike audio, are basically a garbled string of 2 streams (video and audio), which are not combined together and not sequenced until the entire string is completed.Your video player then combines the 2 sources and puts them in the right, synchronized order so it can play them.Audio is one single stream (sound), composed of alternating bits that represent sounds, audio doesn't need to be in any order because these bits are numerically arranged, so all the audio player does is read the position of each bit and chuck it in the right place and play!
