why did abe lincoln go against the declaration of independence and attack the

south for seceding? not one person was killed when ft sumpter was captured.
uncle pennybags- i didnt say it was. i am wondering why he chose to go against the document that formed his nation. if the founding fathers didnt like the ideas in the declaration, america would not have been around to attack the south for practicing the ideals in the declaration.
wh tennis- i guess you felt that our founding fathers should have never taken up arms against the british?

i thought it an interest point that the south never killed anyone. the north had military bases on their land. the south asked them to withdraw. they refused. and then they took it without taking a life. so why did lincoln feel he had a right to take a life?

if a cop shoots someone who did not pose a deadly threat to them they are generally punished. i guess you think cops should be able to kill anyone for any crime?
