...accept voting for those officials? "The Return of Big Government: A bulked-up uncle Sam is coming back to deal with housing, healthcare, Social Security, and more" | By James Pethokoukis, Posted April 11, 2008

'Here's a little straight talk: Whether you pull the lever (or fill in the oval or touch the screen) for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama or even John McCain in November, you're probably still going to end up in 2009 with a push for Big Government of the sort not seen in a generation. More taxes. More regulation. More spending. "It's going to be like watching That '70s Show," says Daniel Clifton, political analyst at Strategas Research Partners, which provides research to institutional investors.'"
However, when an "underdog" candidate like Dr. Ron Paul presents himself, he is cast aside by mainstream media outlets despite the genius and strength of his platforms as well as track record in office, only to be followed by Americans crying out for a candidate with the credentials such as Ron Paul himself possesses. Take a quick overview of Ron Paul's record:

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:

-He has never voted to raise taxes.
-He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
-He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
-He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
-He has never taken a government-paid junket.
-He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
-He voted against the Patriot Act.
-He voted against regulating the Internet.
-He voted against the Iraq war.
-He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
-He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

Why do Americans entrench themselves through mainstream media propaganda, often knowing full-well the bias and spin those same agencies utilize in support of big-business, big-government, big-spending politicians, when many Americans have been given more choices than simply choosing (once again... and again... and again... and again...) the "lesser of two evils"? Must it always be this way?

Americans complain a lot, but do little to improve the situation through action. They are, for the most part, too lazy & apathetic. There are so many reasons I couldn't possibly list them here. Suffice to say though that if it involves taking a break from the IQ sucking TV or mass printed media it's too hard.

Americans care more about the make believe world that's been carefully crafted to lull them into stupidity than to the real world. How many of you listen to or watch C-Span? How many of you read the activities of Congress and the Senate at least once a week? How many of you even have the slightest clue about the candidates you so vehmently support or denounce?

Ron Paul is the candidate I support because of his positions & voting record. He's honest and is an actual traditional conservative.

America, wake the hell up and learn to pay attention to the things you ought to be paying attention to.

The lesser of two evils is still evil.

What is WRONG with a strict Constitutionalist, not a globalist, fighting for individual rights and liberties, and fighting to fix our economy and monetary system, even when doing that, as President, would mean less power for him?

He is the only Presidential candidate who will MEAN it when they take their oath to follow and support the Constitution, even where that means limiting executive powers to Constitutional dimensions.

We know this because Obama, Hillary and McCain all took that oath already, every bit as much as Ron Paul did, and only Ron Paul of all of them has lived up to it.

Note the Patriot Act voted for by all of them, and support by all of them (funding counts, Obama) for the unconstitutional, undeclared Iraq war.

Someone is always complaining. You can't make everyone happy in this world or our nation. Yes, the people will vote and still complain. All presidents have made mistakes and left them for the next president and it takes time to solve all these mistakes. We only have so many to vote for. Just pray that you make the right decision. We need to stop putting all the blame on the President . Issues have to be put to a vote in congress. Put the blame where it belongs , on the senators.

Well maybe its because we only have two choices to vote for. Dem's or Rep. The whole system is corrupt led by a media that makes us believe what they feed us.
If a change doesnt happen soon we as Americans will lose our freedom. This is the people's country not the gov't. And as of now its the govt country.
