[QUOTE="Achilles, post: 2156034, member: 237001"] Freedom to use one's property as one see fit. --The government does not tell you how to use your property. Freedom to enjoy the fruits of one's labor in whatever way one deems appropriate --The government is not telling you how to exercise the fruits of one's labor; it merely taxes people 2% or $90.00 if they choose not to buy health insurance (which is what I assume you're speaking of) Freedom to use one's body in a manner of one's choosing. --The government has protected this by upholding Roe V. Wade despite attempts by conservatives to fight and overturn it. Freedom to follow one's own moral code. --I don't even know how to begin to tell you this one is wrong. Freedom from being taxed to fund government tyranny. --There is no "tyranny" within the United States. Just because you disagree with a position of a person or group of persons does not automatically make him/her/them a tyrant(s). Freedom from government intrusion .into one's personal life. And Freedom to be left alone. -- Since this and the above are the same, the conservatives have done more limiting an individual's "freedom to be left alone" through the Patriot Act than any number of socially progressive programs which have been proposed by the left.
