things also exist against men ? like if women are made butt of jokes, stereotyped etc, feminists have a problem.

but men are ridiculed too and stereotypes.

Well, men should stand up for themselves...Maybe, "Meninists" should create their own fanclub. I always wondered why there is no such thing as men studies.... I guess men don't usually like to "talk" it out. Emotional expression is not as much of an asset as it is in a woman's world. I mean... why do you think they don't have shows like "Oprah" for men? I know that sounds stereotypical, but that's how society works.
 
Because men have never really been put in a position of oppression. Why would they be offended by stereotypes about themselves that they don't actually believe to be true? Misogyny and sexism has affected womens' lives in very real and palpable ways...and the jokes and stereotypes are proof that the ignorance, and thus the potential for further oppression still reigns. If you want to kill the tree...you have to get at the roots.
 
Some men just don't give a rats a$$ about how men are portrayed in the media, but at the same hate to see whiny women when the tides are turned.

No, it means that the stereotypes and sexism against women are usually more harmful. Portraying men as sports-obsessed beer drinkers hardly does any harm. Drumming it into girls' heads that they're nothing if they don't wear a size 0 or if they're not a certain race, color, etc., is extremely harmful.

Martillo...spare me the crap. So men obsess over having muscles because...of other men?
 
meh, no one takes feminists seriously anymore. its obviously just a bunch of uptight lesbians that need to get laid. the rest of america tries to live in reality.
