school is the solution? When I ask gun rights supporters on how to decrease the likelihood of school shootings like the Virgina Tech massacre (VTM), some of the opinions I get is to allow students to bring guns to school, I support the Second Amendment, I support gun rights, especially for defensive purposes, however, allowing students to bring guns to school is not the solution, it would make matters worst.
The solution is allowing security personnel to be armed in schools, I support gun-free zones, but this should only apply to students, the problem with Virgina Tech's gun-free zones is that their security personnel were not allowed to be armed, allowing mentally disturbed people like Seung-Hui Cho, the VTM killer, to go about the campus, shooting and killing innocent civilians, without fear of security personnel shooting him.
