Why do I need a memory card for my MOTOROLA KRZR K1m?

I get that you can put music on it for playback, pictures, videos even.

But is there any other reason? I currently use Verizon. Do I need tthe card to download and save VZ navigator maps or something?

Do I need it for anything other than vidoes, pics, mp3s?
 
No you dont need one if you dont want one.

Unless your out of space on your phone and you want more space, then you would want to get one.

Its never a need.
