differences in it? How so? I'm amazed when I see such posts. I teach religious studies and we routinely refer to the various groups found commonly in the U.S. and Europe (because that is where I have taught). And surely anyone who has lived for any length of time in Israel will agree that there are MANY groups. (Anyone who claims that these are simply political but not "different in terms of religious beliefs" is playing games with words.)

But perhaps I'm not understanding the claim. Yes, I can understand why it is "politically correct" to say, "Judaism is one belief system" -- but that is not necessarily more accurate than someone saying, "True Christianity is just one belief system."
