English Football (and our legends)? Is it an inferiority complex?
Yesterday, I was chatting with this RM fan (who is supposed to be loving Chelsea now) and he said "Its a club where someone like Zola is a legend..looool.."
and many Spanish people tell "Paul Scholes? Is he as good as Xavi?"..lmfao...
I can understand it when its the Germans. Bloody Germans. Beckenbauer is what you'd call the typical German - arrogant s0d who is so up his own, comments on every damn thing in the world with zero respect for anyone outside his hidey Munchen hole..
but I thought Spaniards had an eye for talent.......especially after Xavi and Iniesta spoke of Scholes being their idol.
The French are infinitely better. Then again it maybe due to their respect for Wenger and how he has practically created their entire national team at an English club (Arsenal)
We respect your legends- the likes of Pirlo, Maldini, 'Dinho, Raul etc.......but respect for Giggs, Scholes, Zola, Gerrard etc seems to be minimal. Inferiority complex much?
