why do parents complain that teenagers make their life horrible?

Why do you have to babysit your sister during the day? Don't you go to school? So you mow the lawn and make breakfast. Wow! Chores! You poor thing. (not!)

Your mother is probably sick of your mouthiness and complaining. You have an obligation to help your family when they need you. You think it will be any easier when you get older? Then, you'll get your own place and you'll not only be making breakfast, but also lunch and dinner, AND doing laundry, AND scrubbing toilets, AND holding down a job to pay your rent.

Get over it!
 
I am 14 years old, and my dad started doing business trips because he thinks I can handle his responsiblilites now, so now, I have to babysit my 17 month old sister during the day when my mom is at work, mow the lawn, make breakfast, laundry, and fix the car when it gets bad.

but my mom keeps on complaining that I am choking her to death (metaphorically) and she alse says that she wishes that I was a four year old kid, because then I wouldnt complain so much, the only time I complain now is when my mom inerupts me from something and I dont see how that will bother her too much

but if I was a four year old kid, then my mom would have to mow the lawn, do the laundry, maintain the cars, and take care of my sister all by herself, and I dont see why she doesnt count all the work I do.

so why do parents have so many problems with teenagers, my mom would have to do a lot more work if I wasnt a teenager, and she yells at me in return,
for the person that said that all of this is my obligation, tell me how many fourteen year old kids fix cars without getting anything in return. My mom thinks that I am the same as my dad, I have no friends because I am homeschooled, and I barely get any free time, only on weekends, I am babysitting my sister right not
